BEACON Scans Ultrasonic Fingerprint Technology on 4/2/08 |
The Lockheed Martin BEACON lecture for 4/2/08 will originate at noon at the BEACON facility in Whitehall (Fairmont), WV, and will be a presentation on "Recent Advances in Ultrasonic Livescan Fingerprint Technology". The presenter will be Dr. John K. Schneider. Dr. Schneider worked for a number of years at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Washington, D.C, and in 1989 founded Ultra-Scan Corporation where he pioneered the use of ultrasound for live-scan fingerprinting. Dr. Schneider has published or presented numerous technical papers and has been granted over 45 patents in the field of live-scan fingerprint identification and multi-modal fusion logic.
