Plethora delivers next-generation software for secure information access & sharing. Plethora's Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, branded Enterprise-in-a-Flash, provides on-demand remote PC access, file sharing, and collaboration capabilities, with patented security so powerful the CIA relies on it. Large corporate/government customers have the option to manage the software internally. Applications include workforce continuity and Telework programs, disaster recovery, and a laptop alternative for the global traveler.
Plethora's key enterprise customer accounts include the US Departments of Energy, Transportation, Labor, and the Interior, as well as numerous smaller organizations. Plethora has recently repositioned the software away from installed enterprise infrastructure (except in the largest customers) and into the emerging Software as a Service deployment model. Plethora's Enterprise-in-a-Flash service delivers a truly secure remote access solution as an affordable hosted service that's easily set up and managed no matter how big the customer’s organization, without hardware to buy or complicated and time-consuming on-site implementation.
Users simply plug in their 2 -factor (or 3- factor with the biometric option)USB Enterprise-in-a-Flash device at any PC and type in their username and password. Within seconds they see a user-friendly listing of all their personal and team resources, customized for their user profile. Just point and click, and they're instantly accessing a file or application on their desktop PC in the office, sending a message or file to a colleague, or sharing a PC screen, regardless of physical location. The powerful security system operates transparently to the user, ensuring a smooth user experience.
The patented SecureChannel infrastructure is the core of Plethora’s software, providing innovative multi-factor authentication, session establishment and management, and encryption capabilities. Plethora intends to OEM SecureChannel to other software vendors, and to partner with hardware providers, particularly flash drive and smart card manufacturers, to create unified secure access solutions.
The USB Enterprise-in-a-Flash device delivers transparent 2-factor authentication based on unique hardware characteristics that are detected and incorporated into the SecureChannel authentication process. Three-factor authentication is available with the biometrics option.
The Enterprise-in-a-Flash subscription service targets primarily small and medium businesses in white-collar industries (accounting, legal, consulting, insurance, architecture, etc), reached via a strong reseller channel. Large customers, including Federal, State, and Local governments, education, and non-profit institutions, license the Corporate Edition and manage the system internally. Organizations with international travelers represent a compelling niche market, due to US government policy allowing border patrol agents to search and seize laptops from passengers entering or departing US airports – Enterprise-in-a-Flash represents a simple, secure way to remain productive while abroad, without the risk of taking a laptop through customs.
